Hello World

"Hello World."

Famous lines from most peoples first application. Getting the computer to do something.

You feel like a wizard, and it's the start of something.

I've been dabbling in game development for over a year now. I've made a few things, released a couple of them too - and I love it.

So much so that I want it to be more than a hobby. I want to create. I want to make people feel something. The same way the games that inspired me did.

This year, I plan to create a game for each unit of study I complete.

The first is Welcome . . - A text based adventure written in C#. It started as a question of "How much can I get out of a string of text on the screen?".

I played around with the timing of characters, words - delays between sentences - and some other things. You'll have to play it see.

The next unit is Math, we'll be doing simple physics, collision and talking about the general math involved in games.

Looking forward to the next adventure.
